Prairie Aero Designs was started in 2021 by Ryan Bollig, AMA 518693. Ryan started building flying models in the early 1990’s as a teenager. He drew up his first RC design (an electric Pietenpol Aircamper) in 1999. In addition to running Prairie Aero Designs with the assistance of his wife Jill and daughter Megan, he works full-time as a Senior Mechanical Designer for i3 Product Development and is also on the board of directors for his local RC club, the Madison Area RC Society.
